One of the cornerstones of SHALMIAK is our on-demand production model. We don’t mass-produce items in bulk – we produce each product only when a customer orders it. This approach helps to minimize waste, prevent overproduction and ensure that each item is made with intention – especially for you.

All products by SHALMIAK are made in Europe by valuable partners and shipped directly to our customers efficiently, responsibly and with minimal waste.

We choose our materials carefully keeping both comfort, durability and sustainability in mind. We also continuously seek innovative ways to reduce waste and minimize our ecological footprint.

SHALMIAK is created by Finnish designer Sari Ahokainen - known for her love of vibrant colors and funky designs. Sari finds her inspiration from everyday life believing that every detail can be seen from so many different perspectives.

Sari hopes that her designs bring people joy and strength in their daily lives and a sense of hope for the future. Especially in today’s world, even small, uplifting things can have a big impact.
